toaster-watcher overwriting smtp/run

We are very pleased with our toaster, except for one headache. The smtp service will not run with the tcpserver-S option found in /var/service/smtp/run. Every time we remove the -S, toaster-watcher over-writes the file with the old value. Where does the service draw its values from.so we can change the defaults?

Should Tcpserver be able to run with the minus S option?

We have tried editing the Qmail.pm file but it seems to make no difference.

Please help.
