Svscan dying

For some reason svscan is dying, and only the smtp service stays running but all the logging, submit and send services die.  I have to kill those procs and restart svscan.  Is this a bug in the toaster setup?  I installed it a couple months ago and it has been doing this every since I installed it.

I did have it installed on a different server for a year and never had a problem, but it was an older version.  Any ideas?
