Move messages from remote queue to local

I'm currently sorting out problems with my primary mailserver, and have decided to promote my backup server to a primary for the duration. Thats been easy enough, and mail for the more important domains is now being delivered locally on the backup mailserver. (The backup server has its own courier pop/imap instance)

The problem I now need to solve - what about the messages already sitting in the backup servers 'remote' queue, which it has been trying to deliver to the offline primary server?

Does anyone have a trick for moving messages from the remote queue to the local queue?
