users in subgroups don't seem to be working

I am using 2.03 at the moment, I can't seem to login with a user I create in a subgroup. I see the user in the mysql DB, but it seems as if I am unable to login if the nt_group_id value is anything other than 1. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yay, I was being stupid, subgroup logins require username@subgroup to login. helps to rtfm
