MX Records question

Hello Folks,

We had Nictool 2.02 installed recently and I'm wondering about how it publishes a record like this:

@domain.tld:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:mx.domain.tld.:5.

I tried to add a new resource record and it did not work.
Is there any more documentation?
