nictool-administrator can login, all others can't

Hi,

I created a subgroup and a user inside that group, but I cannot login with this user.

Is there a way to trouble-shoot that?
There's nothing in the httpd-error.log concerning this situation.

I *can* create a user in the "main" group and login with that user, but not with a user in a subgroup.
