In Over my Head!

Hi All,
Am I in over my head here?

I've got Nictool running on my nice shiny new ns1 machine and have setup tinydns on another. How do I know if the transfers are working? Is there something else I have to do to ensure transfers are happening?

I saw a lot about rsync in another thread and I'm not sure if I have it running (probably not...), so what's the best way to tell if I'm on the right track with syncing both servers.
