multilog: fatal: unable to open directory.....

when i run this command bsd# services start

I get this error

multilog: fatal: unable to open directory /var/log/mail/submit: file does not exist

how do i create this file or fix this error

supervise: fatal: unable to acquire send/supervise/lock: temporary failure

i added that directory and now im getting these errors

is there a file in /usr/local/etc/rc.d
called svscan.sh? or close to it.

if there is rename that file to svscan.sh-dist and reboot it is because there is 2 versions of the services start program running.

At least that was a similar error that i had; and my fix for it.
