Title: configure: error: SNMP sanity check failed.
Post by: slimline on March 06, 2004, 05:49:20 AM
Hi all,
Built the 3.34 Server and got it going on the first attempt, Hey except for a couple of minor glitches it all compiled and ran. So when Matt updated the script to 3.35 with one or two of the minor problems of 3.34 removed. Yep you can guess it, I decided to install from scratch. installing the toaster for the 2nd time I got the above error, any suggestions gents. TIA

I think the snmpd package on FreeBSD's servers might be hosed.  Try doing a portupgrade -f on snmpd and see if that helps.

Hi,
Many thanks for the help, I did what you suggested  Laughing
I then decided to do the ports install and compile every thing.
Thanks fellas now I'll have to learn all the little tweaks.
