I am resonably familiar with linux and have installed
http://www.qmailtoaster.com a number of times. I am wanting to give this toaster a go on FreeBSD which I have never used before.
Will it install on 5.3 or what is the best version to use? What packages must I install when I initially install FreeBSD, this will be a dedicated mail server box. Is there perhaps a link somewhere for a newbie's guide to setting up FreeBSD for the toaster?
Thanks
Scott

I would love to hear your impressions on the comparison between the two after you've installed Mail::Toaster once or twice.

Install any stable release of FreeBSD (including 5.3) and the Mail::Toaster will install on it just fine. There isn't much to worry about when seeing up FreeBSD, it's designed to be a server OS and as such, doesn't need much in the way of tuning. Make sure your /var is large enough that your mail queue won't overwhelm it and you're good to go.
