Title: maildrop 3.40 configuration issues
Post by: chuy08 on May 09, 2004, 09:29:04 PM
I am getting this error message on my new install of version 3.40 of the mail toaster:

May  9 10:18:08 mail maildrop[90819]: Unable to open filter file, errno=2.

Anyone have any ideas what this is about or what is causing it.  I am getting this is my maillog file constantly and no mail is getting in or out.  Any help would be appreciated.

cd /usr/local/etc/mail/
mv mailfilter.new mailfilter

This is fixed in 3.41.

Title: Maildrop config file

Thank's for the info about moving the file.  That was what I needed to get this thing running properly.  After I did that I also had to chown to vpopmail and chgrp to vchkpw before it would work.  Just thought I would let everyone know.  Other than that the toaster is working like a champ.

I am running into this problem and can not get this solution to work.

Im using the 4.03 toaster

I wish that maildrop would output where it was trying to get the conf file from.

I have it setup in my toaster-watch.conf as normall
/usr/local/etc/mail/mailfilter

and the perms are setup for vpopmail and vchkpw.

im on bsd 5.3 box. Everything but this is working great! minus some weird issues with messages going out that I want to deal with next.
