Title: How to provide an editable addressbook for Outlook?
Post by: mike on March 16, 2004, 03:48:41 AM
Does anyone have any suggestions on providing an addressbook service that can be updated using Outlook? I'm currently using a toaster as the base mail server with an LDAP addressbook, but I need to make it updateable using an Outlook client.

Apologies if this is off-topic, any pointers welcomed!

Many thanks,
mike

Have you found anything to solve this problem Mike? I'd be very interested to know how you've handled this. I'm faced with the same problem here.

No luck so far. I've been evaluating MS's small business server stuff to see if it will be as painful as I expect.

_Please_ let me know if you find anything helpful too?

many thanks,
mike

Theoretically Outlook should be able to update an LDAP directory if you supply it with appropriate credentials.  I'm curious what goes wrong when you try this.
