The "meat and potatoes" of the Mail::Toaster installation is embedded in perl modules. The modules are filled with little subroutines that do various useful things. For example, the Setup.pm module has dozens of subroutines, each one dedicated to installing a specific program (ie, qmail, maildrop, etc).
The code is stored in modules so that it's easily usable by various programs and scripts.

Each module has it's documentation embedded in it, so you can read them using perldoc, ie: perldoc Mail::Toaster, perldoc Mail::Toaster::Apache. The perldoc version will be based on the version installed on your system. The version posted online (on this site) will be the latest released version.
