From: john@filmpaper.com Problem: How can I block mail to bogus users? At first I thought this should be done writing by separate filter recipes that block mail to individual false users (as I used to do in procmail), but there is an easier way: 1: Put forwards for all legitimate users in qmail admin, forwarding them to the user email accounts that should get them. 2: DON’T USE A CATCHALL ACCOUNT. This will disable the chk_usr patch in the toaster. If there is no catchall account, the chk_usr patch will cause the server to automatically reject mail to unknown users (users not named in the forwards and without login accounts for POP/IMAP/Webmail), and you don’t have to know who they are in advance! Thanks to Matt for help with this!
